    AICTE has announced deadline for MBA admissions for 2020 academic year as July 31.

    MBA admission requires a well-defined strategic planning.

    After Graduation, there still remains a doubt in the students’ mind whether to go for specialization or choose other professional degree for higher studies in order to have a secure career with good package. So , the student needs to decide upon this very important aspect and finally ,when the students decides to opt for doing n MBA then he needs to make choice about an MBA college. This decision requires extensive research about each MBA colleges and then to zero in on the most suitable one according to the courses it offers and placement success rate. Other important factors that one needs to keep in mind are government recognition, eligibility criteria, admission process, tuition fee, hostel facility, pedagogy, infrastructure etc. Once, the institute has been decided the next step is to find out their MBA admission process and selection criteria. Many MBA colleges accept candidates on the basis of common entrance exam score while some select candidates on the basis of Graduation score. MBA admission is majorly based on entrance exam, group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI).

    Apart from the written test, GD/PI are also the important criteria of judging a candidate’s ability in opting for the leadership program. Through GD/PI, the institutes assess each candidate’s qualities which otherwise cannot be measured on the basis of their academic score or performance in the entrance exam (CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, SNAP).

    MBA Admission 2020: Application Dates

    The global Covid-19 pandemic has forced B-schools across India to halt their operations. Consequently, admissions have been postponed in many institutes. B-schools in India, normally conduct admissions during March to May and begin the academic session in June. But this year, the admission cycle is delayed. There are some B-schools where the application process is still ongoing. Moreover, the AICTE has announced that the 2020 academic session will begin from August 1, 2020 thus all B-schools are instructed to complete their admission processes by July 31, 2020.

    MBA Colleges in India: Admission Process & Selection Criteria

    The admission process to all the IIM requires the candidate to score good in CAT exams, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
